L’île Renote
Belles couleurs d’hiver sur l’île Renote.
Lorsque le soleil d’un dimanche de janvier nous dévoile les rochers roses de l’île Renote à Trégastel, on se dit que même hors saison les Côtes-d’Armor nous réservent de beaux moments.
Cette presqu’île est sans nul doute un des plus beaux endroits de la Côte de Granit Rose. Peu importe le sens de notre balade, elle révèle à chaque instant un panorama à couper le souffle. À l’est, la baie de Sainte-Anne se dévoile avec une petite plage où s’échouent quelques bateaux à marée basse. Un peu plus loin, ce sont les chaos granitiques de Ploumanac’h qui s’offrent à notre regard sous un nouvel angle. On aperçoit l’île de Coastérès et son château, le Phare de Men Ruz, l’archipel des Sept-Iles avec la réserve naturelle de l’île Rouzig, on contemple l’horizon et le spectacle est grandiose ! L’île Renote est également un lieu magnifique où l’accumulation de granit rose sculpté par l’érosion appelle notre imaginaire. Alors, on s’amuse à retrouver dans la forme des rochers, ‘La Palette du Peintre’, ‘Le Dé’, ‘La Baleine’, ‘La Boule’ etc. On se faufile entre les blocs de pierre, on fait une halte sous les grands pins, on se balade sur la plage en se disant qu’on a beau la connaître cette presqu’île, elle nous enchante toujours parce qu’elle nous donne le sentiment de la redécouvrir à chaque fois.

When the sun on a Sunday in January reveals the pink rocks of Renote island in Trégastel, we tell ourselves that even out of season the Côtes-d’Armor has some wonderful moments in store for us.
This peninsula is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places of the Pink Granite Coast. Regardless of the direction of our walk, it reveals at every moment a breathtaking panorama. To the east, the bay of Sainte-Anne is revealed with a small beach where a few boats run aground at low tide. A little further on, it is the granite chaos of Ploumanac’h offers us a new angle. We can see the island of Coastérès and its castle, the Men Ruz lighthouse, the Sept-Iles archipelago with the natural reserve of Rouzig island, we contemplate the horizon and the spectacle is grandiose! Renote island is also a magnificent place where the accumulation of pink granite sculpted by erosion calls to our imagination. Then, we have fun to find in the shape of the rocks, ‘La Palette du Peintre’ (the painter’s palette), ‘Le Dé’ (the dice), La Baleine’ (the whale), ‘La Boule’ (the ball), etc. We sneak between the stone blocks, we stop under the tall pines, we walk on the beach, telling ourselves that we know this peninsula, but it always enchants us because it gives us the feeling of rediscovering it each time.
Little advice from Gîte Les 3 Voiles: In the middle of summer, to avoid the crowds and enjoy the beautiful light, take this walk at the very end of the afternoon, ideally after 6 p.m.
